So today’s article is about office keyboards, and yes believe me office keyboards can be very good and they also have their differences.
As someone who uses keyboards a lot, I can assure you that there are keyboards that are better than others even in the office world..
I think that every time someone thinks about buying office keyboards, they take the price or even the design into account, and believe me, the most important thing sometimes is whether it is an ergonomic or traditional keyboard, comfort helps a lot in these times.
That’s why I decided to make a tier list of all the ergonomic and traditional keyboards available, comparing the two and even recommending which ones are the best.

What Makes a Keyboard “Office-Tier”?
Before I talk about the ranking, it is important to take some things into consideration
What is actually good for an office keyboard, is the fact that it is noisy a problem, does its design really matter?
In my blog Keyboards Technology, I talk about how keyboard design impacts your performance, and to be honesst, it’s hard to know which can be better for you, some examples is, your company is physical or digital, your company have so many employees, all of this thins can impact your choice.

Ergonomic Keyboards – A Better Option ?
The most underrated keyboards ( for me at least ) with all sure is this keyboards types, like they can be pretty good, they can make your work more confortable, and it’s not recommended by no company.
I personally think that the Logitech Ergo K860 is a good choice, cause can be cheap, and in some cases you can find a good version for a good price.
There are good reasons to choose ergonomics keyboards:
- Less wrist strain
- Natural hand positioning
- Often quieter and softer feedback
But they have some problems, and for me can be:
- Difficulty in adapting
- Compatibility Problems

Traditional Keyboards – The Known Keyboards
The traditional ones can be better in some cases, they are the most know keyboards, and everyone knows how it’s works, so you can find good keyboards for good prices in everywhere, and they are better to adapts.
My personal tips are the Keychron K10 or Das Keyboard 4, the best option on the market today.
The good things about traditional keyboards:
- Easy to adapts
- Good to type
- Offer a good compatibility
And the most notable problems of the traditional ones are:
- Less comfort
- Dirt Easily
I actually did a rank about the traditional keyboards too, you can read that here.

Which Should be Your Choice? Ergonomic or Traditional?
To be honest, go with ergonomics, they are better that traditional in “office” environment, they are more silent, they are more confortables, and just choose the traditional ones, if you need spend little.
But if you just need to make some tasks, and don’t feel comfortable adapting, choose the traditional, because they are more cheaper, and most easier to use.
